For if you don’t have any health, what would you have?
Life, yes. But what is the quality of this life?
Health – it’s the one thing we need to be able to do the things we love. And we must also stay healthy to be able to work so we can do the things we enjoy and also provide for those we love.
Good Health is our physical and mental being feeling awesome – no aches, pains, weird sensations, funky smells, mood swings (the list goes on). Majority of the people in the world are not in a good state of health.
We need to be conscious of what we put into our bodies. In the world we live in today, there are so many allergens. Gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, nuts – it’s a crazy world, that has evolved over time. Not only that, but the stress we put our bodies through is another big concern.
A couple of weeks ago I had lunch with Mr B at a vietnamese joint. I had the Banh Cang Cua – a crab noodle soup bowl. It was delicious! However, when I drove from Malaga to Murdoch (so going from North to South of Perth – about 30 minute drive), I started feeling very sleepy. I haven’t had this feeling for so long! And this is the feeling when most people ingest processed and refined carbohydrates. Our bodies weren’t designed to eat this way… which is one of the very reasons I cut out these foods in 2010.
The above feeling is not how we are meant to feel. Feeling sleepy after eating certain foods is not normal!
Feeling bloated after eating is also not normal. A lot of people today pass these feelings off as being normal or part of the ageing process or it’s just the way it is. It isn’t. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Another story, this time to do with stress. This poor sod was under the pump from work (perks of running your own business!) – working 7 days a week, 12 to 14 hour days. No time to even wipe their butt or scratch themselves! Hah! But true 😛 Because of all this pressure, this body began to shut down and shout out – slow down! Symptoms – no cold or flu, just had a fever, diarrhoea and loss of appetite. 3 days bedridden (over a lovely, sunny weekend too!).
You need to be conscious about food and your environment. The body, mind and spirit is meant to feel alive, full of vitality and no funky sensations.
At one of my previous places of employment, there was a team member that was sick all the time. They’d be coughing up their lungs constantly. Another team member looked on and was a bit concerned (afraid it was something they’d catch! don’t blame them…) but the sick team member passed it off as “Allergies” or “Asthma” as if it was normal. Umm… hello? That is not normal. But because they were so accustomed to this their whole life, it was normal.
It’s up to the people – you – to look into what causes these issues within yourselves. I guess you have got to really want it. Want to be healthy. Want to feel lively. Want to not feel this way.
It just amazes me how people are happy to just plod along and “accept” this way of life. Accept what conventional doctors tell them. Accept what mainstream media tell them.
This goes for the mind too. Have you ever heard of brain fog? Where you feel just tired in your head and not thinking clearly? Think about the foods you are eating or anything in your environment that may be bothering you.
This isn’t just food either. It’s your environment. Stress factors such as work pressures, any toxic relationships, money problems. Even what you store your food in, what you clean the house with – can affect what’s going on in your body.
I hope I have instilled some sort of emotion in you, maybe a kick in the butt to start taking your own health into your own hands. Don’t start when you feel sick. Start now… it’s called Preventative Health.

Wealth isn’t about money… it’s about you. And the state of your being – healthy mind, healthy body, healthy spirit = a healthy and happy life 🙂
