French Fine Dining!!! Talk about value for money – 6 course degustation for $95… however, I have bad news. Alain’s has closed after 10 years of service. He will be concentrating on his passion for wedding photography and vintage cars.
The restaurant was very quaint and fitted out vintage stylez with awesome old school vintage cars!
Our first course was made up of 6 different miniature dishes. Presentation was very pretty and it tasted awesome too. I can’t for the life of me what everything was!
There was also some brioche with pate and butter, the brioche was very soft, fluffy and flaky – very nice texture. No picture as it turned out too blurry.
Next course, we could choose from a few – I had scallops and Miss AL had the escargot 😛
Next, was a palate cleanser before our chosen main. It was a pink champagne sorbet. No picture – blurry again :/
My main was fun! Alain brought out a burner where he made the brandy sauce and it produced a little fire show! I got the steak, it was so tender and juicy. I also was given veggies on the side, but they weren’t nearly as exciting.
And final course – dessert. We can’t forget dessert and what we always say, there’s ALWAYS room for dessert 😉
I can’t remember what the actual name of the dessert – it was chocolate something… it was delicious, nonetheless!
I must be the world’s worst food critic – can’t remember what she ate haha!
